Mrs. Winsor Passes Away
Mrs. Charlotte Winsor, an old and highly esteemed resident of Sausalito, was stricken with heart disease while in her husband's real estate office on Tuesday afternoon and shortly after passed away at her home. She was taken from the office by Dr. French of the Albatross to her home where Dr. Mays and Dr. French did all they possibly could for her. The announcement of her death caused a feeling of sorrow to spread over the community and a feeling of sincere sympathy to her lonely husband.

Funeral services were held in Christ Church where she always attended regularly and took a great interest in religious matters. The church was crowded with her many friends who came to pay their last respects. Rev. Geo. Maxwell, with assistance of the choir, held the funeral services in the church and Rev. Maxwell said prayers as her body was placed in its last resting place in Fernwood Cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs. H. P. Buckingham, Vincent Surr, C. R. Brown and W. J. Haldan.

Mrs. Winsor, was born in England on March 7th, 1843. Her father was Dr. George Boyer a very prominent surgeon. In Pulaski, New York, on June 9th, 1869, she was married to her husband, Thomas Winsor, by Rev. Charge Boyer, her uncle. Their married life has always been a happy one. Thirty years ago they came to Sausalito, purchased property here and made this their home ever since. She took an active interest in charitable affairs and did much good in a quiet way. She founded the Woman's Exchange of Sausalito and was actively connected with it until its termination shortly after the San Francisco fire. She then entered the real estate office of her husband and worked hard to bring people to Sausalito.

After a long, busy and useful life she died as she had lived — honored, trusted and loved. She reared her own monument while she lived in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was completed if work all done and well done constitutes completion. Her Christian life was beautiful from its beginning to its close and through all the vicissitudes and sorrows that she met in the way, her faith in God never wavered.

She leaves a husband, Thomas Winsor; a sister, Mrs. F. S. A. Snyder, and two cousins Mrs. H. P. Buckingham and Mrs. Vincent Surr mourn her death.
