Many Friends Attend the Martella Funeral

One of the largest funerals seen in this county took place at Olema last Sunday, when the remains of A. J. Martella were laid to rest in Olema Cemetery. There were 66 carriages in line and over 100 Druids and Foresters of America marching. The cortege was three-quarters of a mile long, stretching from Olema to the cemetery. People attended from Novato, Bolinas, Pt. Reyes, Marshalls, and this city.

Funeral services were conducted at the house by Father Land. The remains were then taken to the Druid’s Hall at Olema, where the funeral services of the order were held.

Deceased was 25 years of age, and was a son of the late Joseph Martella. He was well known around Olema and Inverness, the family home being at the latter place.
