Death of Pioneer Lady at Tomales
Mrs. Annie McCune, another pioneer lady of Tomales, passed away December 24th, at the age of 63 years. She was the widow of the late Thomas McCune, who was a prominent merchant at Tomales 40 or more years ago. She was a native of Australia, and was the mother of James, Thomas, Annie, and William McCune and Mrs. Lizzie Cornett, and was a sister of Mrs. John Driscoll of San Rafael.
The funeral services were conducted from the Church of the Assumption at Tomales on Monday at 11 a.m. where a requiem high mass was celebrated for the repose of her soul. Mrs. McCune was highly esteemed and respected by the people who knew her.
