Vernon Farrow, the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Farrow, fell into the bay from the Water street bulkhead Monday evening and was drowned. His body was warm when August Petersen recovered it. Dr. Williams worked hard to resuscitate the body but the child was too far gone. The child was buried on Thursday. A purse of nearly $150 to defray the funeral expense and assist the sick father was raised by private subscription.
