Antone Lawrence Drops Dead
Antone Lawrence, for over 30 years a resident of Sausalito, was found dead in his bathroom on Thursday morning. He was feeling in good health and the supposition is that it was heart disease. His funeral will be held in Sausalito on Sunday leaving the house at 10 a. m. for church, interment in Fernwood cemetery. He leaves a wife Isabell, three sons, Manuel Joseph, John and Antone and three daughters Mary Mendoza, Belles Silva and Rosa Lawrence. He is the brother of Joseph and John Lawrence. The deceased was horn in the Azores 57 years ago and came to Sausalito in the early 7O's and for nearly 30 years was the leading grocer and was interested in other financial enterprises. He was formerly town treasurer. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Society, Court Star of California No. 7814 A. 0. F., and the I. D. E. S. He was a big hearted man and was highly esteemed by his friends.
