JOHN C. DOWLEN
John C. Dowlen of 340 Channing Way, San Rafael, died yesterday at a local hospital following a short illness. He was 43.
He was born and lived in Oakland until moving to San Rafael three years ago. He had worked as a Teamster until he went to work as a courier for Loomis Armored Truck Service Inc. three years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Dowlen of the home; a sister, Mrs. Nola Gates of Oakland and a brother, Michael Dowlen of Fremont.
Funeral will be at 1 a.m. (sic) tomorrow at the First Presbyterian Church, 72 Kensington Road, San Anselmo. Burial will be private.

A Death Notice on the same page adds that he was the uncle of Mrs. Suzanne Coley of Alameda. The funeral was to be 11 a.m. at the church.
