Old Resident Of Bolinas, Dead
Mrs. Frances N. Clark, wife of the late Samuel Clark, and said to be one of the oldest residents of Marin county, died at her home in Bolinas Tuesday.
She was the mother of Colfax and Edward E. Clark, and Mrs. Marcia Pezzafilia, Mrs. J. C. Longley and Mrs. M. S. McGovern, a native of Bolinas.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday, June 18 at 11 o’clock a.m., at the Catholic church, Bolinas, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul.
The deceased was born in 1851 and it is said that she has lived in the same house in which she died for over 50 years. She attended the old mission here in the early days.
Following the death and after the coroner left the house fire was discovered in one of the upstairs rooms caused by an overheated stove, but it was not necessary for the body to be carried out. The roof of the house was destroyed.
