CLARITA RUMMEL
Funeral was held in Merced County Monday for 22-year Fairfax resident Clarita Rummel. Mrs. Rummel, 72, died Saturday after a long illness.
A native of Superior, Wisc., Mrs. Rummel attended the University of California at Berkeley and received nursing training at Merritt Hospital in Oakland. She worked as a registered nurse in Vallejo, Oakland and Southern California.
She was president of the Northern California Parent-Teacher Association and gave many speeches on family relations. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Anselmo.
Mrs. Rummel is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ivan; two daughters, Donnal Nicholson of Livingston, Merced County, Dorothy Chase of Claremont; a son, Jim Rummel of Tacoma, Wash.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Grace Kramer Fund in care of the Fist Baptist Church of San Anselmo
