Lynn Clifford Michals

Lynn Clifford Michals of Novato died Monday, Sept. 3, 1990, at her home after a long illness. She was 45.
She was the executive assistant to the president of Marin Community Foundation and a longtime Marin resident and a fifth generation San Franciscan.
She was involved with the Marin Special Olympics, CYO in Terra Linda, Little League, and was on the board at St. Isabella’s school.
Mrs. Michals was also the past president of the Marin Catholic High School Alumni Association.
She received the first annual community recognition award from the Marin Community Foundation in August 1990.
Mrs. Michals graduated from San Francisco College for Women in 1967 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She was also a graduate of Marin Catholic High School.
She enjoyed shopping, reading, playing tennis and boating with her family in Bel Marin Keys.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas C. Michals of Novato; two sons, Walter E. ‘Will’ Mollison and Peter C. Mollison, both of Novato; one stepson, Todd Michals of Novato; one stepdaughter, Krista Michals of Novato; her mother, Ellen Kelly Clifford of San Rafael; four sisters, Mary Gilardi of Kentfield, Trisha Gerbo of Verdi, Washoe Nev., Margaret Steacy of Petaluma, and Shirley Spaan of Penngrove; and five brothers, Sars Clifford of Chico, Michael Clifford of Penngrove, Rick Clifford of Chico, John Clifford of San Rafael, and David Clifford of Vallejo.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Isabella’s Church in Terra Linda.
The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Isabella’s Church. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Terra Linda.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the Marin Special Olympics, P.O. Box 475, Corte Madera 94925 or Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Ave., Corte Madera.
Arrangements were handled by Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato.
