Veteran Dies In Auto Crash

Pinned under an overturned automobile for two hours in two feet of water, Zeph Marcy, war veteran and American Legionnaire of Sonoma, was killed last night near Bodega. His neck was found to be broken when he was extricated from the wreckage. Marcy, with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stuermer, six-year-old Walter Stuermer, Jr., and Miss Dora Noelli were going from Sonoma to Bodega Bay to spend today clam digging and fishing. Stuermer, who was driving, became blinded by a sudden rainstorm, and the car, skirting a gulley, overturned, rolling twenty feet to the bottom. The other occupants of the car were slightly injured.
