Will Robertson Answers Last Call
William Edward Robertson, an old resident of this county and a well known sportsman, passed quietly away at the residence of his mother in San Rafael on Wednesday, after a long illness. For many years he was a contracting mason and built and superintended the construction of many large buildings and structures. He was a true sportsman and was always active in every movement to elevate hunting and give game proper protection.
“Chub” as he was addressed by his most intimate friends, had many warm friends who extend their sincere sympathy to his sorrowing mother and sister.
He was born in Iowa 48 years ago and came to San Rafael about 40 years ago. He is the beloved son of Leah Ann and the late John Robertson and a brother [of] Mrs. Fannie J. Duncan.
He was a past master of Marin Lodge of Masons and also a charter member of San Rafael Lodge of Elks and always took an active part in deliberations of those societies. The charters of both lodges are draped in mourning for him.
The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, in the Masonic Hall, San Rafael, where services will be held under the auspices of Marin Lodge. The Elks will attend in a body.
