JACK DOUGLAS
Private funeral will be Monday for Jack A. Douglas of Novato, who died in a local hospital Thursday after a brief illness. He was 70.
Douglas was a native of Los Angeles who lived his entire life in California. He moved to Marin about seven years ago, living in Tiburon before settling in Novato.
He was the owner of a Yolo County gas company and had been retired about 10 years. Douglas was a member of the Delta Yacht Club and the Bridge Marina.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Betty M. McAulay of Houston, Tex., and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Marin Memorial Gardens, Novato. The family prefers memorial contributions to favorite charities.
