Former Marin Resident Dies

Marin county friends of John Stewart of Napa were shocked to hear of his death on Wednesday. He had been ill for three years past. Born in Scotland, he came to this country shortly after his brother Sam, who recently died at Olema, and started working on the dairy ranches of the county. He soon was in business for himself, and 22 years ago he bought a large dairy ranch near Napa, remaining there until his death. He was also interested in several financial institutions in Napa county.

Besides his widow, who is a sister of former Supervisor Steele of Marin county and a former resident of Tomales, deceased leaves two sons and one daughter to mourn his loss.
