Donna M. Cool
Model and actress
Donna Marie Cool of Redding, a former Marin resident, died Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. She was 55.
Miss Cool was born in Colorado. She moved to San Rafael in the early 1960s.
She worked as a model and actress, winning many titles during her career. In 1956 she was Miss Hollywood and runner-up in the Miss California pageant. She was Miss MG in 1957 and Miss General Motors in 1958.
She played Barbara Stanwyck’s secretary on her television show and also appeared in several other television series and movies. After 1970 Miss Cool did acting on a part-time basis and retired completely about six yeas ago.
She enjoyed aquaculture as a hobby.
Miss Cool is survived by a brother, Roger Cool of Novato; three daughters, Lannona Lightner of Redding, Diana Bodine of Sacramento and Thea Stevens of Redding; a son, James Stevens, also of Redding; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato.
