George C. Goheen
George C. Goheen of Mill Valley, a longtime Marin builder and Realtor, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 1986 at Marin General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 86.
Mr. Goheen was born in San Francisco and lived many years in Mill Valley.
He was well known as a Realtor and investor in Tiburon as well as a contractor and developer. He was a partner in the firm of Kelly, Goheen and Kelly Construction in Marin and was involved with the Marin Capital Co.
Mr. Goheen was a 40-year member of the San Rafael Elks Lodge, a life member of American Legion Post in Mill Valley and a past member of Mill Valley rotary Club.
He was an avid domino player and a charter member of the International Domino Association.
Mr. Goheen also belonged to the Bohemian Club, San Francisco Commercial Club, Meadow Club at Fairfax and the Merchant’s Exchange Club of San Francisco.
He was as associate member of the California State Sheriff’s Association.
His wife, Betty Goheen, a Mill Valley artist, died in 1983. His son, George C. Goheen Jr., died in 1971.
He is survived by four grandsons.
A memorial service is being planned at the Daphne-Fernwood Chapel in Mill Valley. Inurnment will be at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
