Man Found Dead in Sausalito
Coroner Eden was notified Wednesday afternoon last, that the dead body of a man was found in a house in Sausalito. Mrs. L. B. Smith of 919 Powell St., San Francisco, owns a residence in Sausalito, and for the winter months had put a caretaker in possession of the domicile. Having occasion to go to Sausalito on Wednesday, she was much surprised to get no response to her knocking for admittance. Nearby aid was sought and the door forced open, and on entering a small bedroom, the dead body of Frank N. Weiss, the caretaker, was discovered on the bed. From all appearances the man had been dead four or five days. Coroner Eden brought the body to San Rafael and an autopsy was made on Thursday by Dr. Jones. Heart disease was given as the cause of death. The deceased had $7.20 in his pockets. He was about 45 years of age and of German nationality. Burial was at the County Farm.
