Middleton Funeral Conducted Tomorrow

Funeral services for H. L. Middleton, uncle of George Middleton of this city, will be held tomorrow at 2 o’clock at Santa Cruz. He died last night at his home in Boulder Creek. He was a well known lumber man and a member of an early California family. He was born in Healdsburg, October 4, 1859.

He was associated in the lumber business in Boulder Creek with Timothy Hopkins, adopted son of the widow of Mark Hopkins, famous California pioneer.

Middleton’s home, Madrone Vine, surrounded by forty-five acres of landscaped gardens, is one of the show places of the county.

He was never married. He is survived by his two brothers, William F. and George, and two nephews, W. H. Middleton and George Middleton.
