Mrs. Margaret Knittel Funeral Service Held; Lodge Rites Are Read
Hundreds Mourn Loss Of Pioneer Local Resident

The last sad rites were held for Mrs. Margaret Knittel, wife of Henry Knittel, this morning at the parlors of Keaton and Dusel. Beautiful floral offerings were mute testimonials of the esteem in which the pioneer San Rafael woman was held.

The impressive service of the Rebekah Lodge was read. Mrs. Knittel was one of the oldest members of the Golden Star Rebekah Lodge, No. 112 of San Rafael.

Cremation took place in Berkeley.

Mrs. Knittel died Friday at her home here after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Marie Talbott and her son Leonard H. Knittel.

She was born seventy-five years ago and spent fifty four of them in San Rafael. She was a native of Canada.
