Charles Sydney Allen Is Called by Death at Belvedere Residence
Mill Valley Mason to Conduce Services Wednesday
Following several months of illness. Charles Sydney Allen died yesterday at his home in Belvedere. He had been a resident there for nearly twenty-five years. For fifteen years he was superintendent of the Union Fish Company; following his retirement he did not engage in any other activity until about four years ago when he became the proprietor of a grocery store, which he conducted until the time of his death.
He was a member of the Mill Valley Lodge of Masons and the lodge will conduct the funeral services at 2 o’clock Wednesday at the parlors of Keaton and Dusel.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maud Allen and two brothers, Lemuel and George Allen. He was a nephew of John Pew, well known railroad official.
