Florence Johnson, 64, of Mill Valley, died today at Marin General Hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Florence Johnson
A memorial service for Florence Prichard Johnson, retired Mill Valley School District secretary, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Russell and Gooch mortuary, Mill Valley.
Mrs. Johnson died Friday in her Mill Valley home after a brief illness. She was 64.
Born in Oakland, she was brought to Mill Valley as an infant and lived there all her life. Her husband, the late Alvin J. Johnson, was a longtime San Francisco police sergeant.
Mrs. Johnson was a school secretary for 25 years and was a member of the Marin County School Employees Association.
She is survived by a son, Dennis Johnson, of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Marcia Stelling in Vancouver, British Columbia; and three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
At Mrs. Johnson’s request, remembrances may be sent in lieu of flowers to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael.
