Mrs. Mary Redding Answers The Call of Death
She Was a Pioneer Resident of This Section and Had Lived Here For Forty Years Past
The Funeral Arrangements

Mrs. Mary Redding passed away at her home at Nicasio Thursday evening at 10:30 o’clock.
She was well known here. She had been ill for some time. About a year ago she fell and broke her leg and never fully recovered from the shock. She was one of Petaluma’s best known pioneer residents and respected by every one who knew her, having lived here and near here for the last 40 years.
She was the wife of Thomas Redding and the mother of Mary L., Jos. L., and the late Will J., Thomas E., and Charles A. Redding, and Mrs. J. H. Rodgers of Novato.
She was 71 years old. Deceased was born in Ireland.
The funeral of Mrs. Mary Redding took place Sunday from the family home at Nicasio. A high mass was celebrated at 9 o’clock at the Nicasio church by Rev. Father Byrne. The body was then brought to Petaluma. At St. Vincent’s Church at 2 o’clock, brief funeral services were conducted by Father Hennessey at the grave. The funeral was the largest held here for some time. The following friends acted as pall-bearers: Neil McIsaacs, W. T. Farley, W. Whitmore, F. Rodgers, B. T. Miller, M. Holloron.
