Bolinas Resident Dies Unexpectedly
James Lawrence Buskirk, a resident of Bolinas since 1949 and a San Francisco cable car gripman for 30 years, died unexpectedly today at his home at Elm and Birch streets at age of 59.
An autopsy is to be performed.
Buskirk, who was scheduled to retire next year, had been building a poultry business at Bolinas which he planned to operate after he left his San Francisco job.
He was a native of Logan, W. Va. He was a member of the Carmen’s Union of San Francisco and the Bolinas American Legion post. He was an Army veteran World War 1.
His only survivor is his wife, Marie.
Funeral services will be held in San Francisco, with local details being handled by the Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley. Burial will be in Golden gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
