Woman Is Found Dead In Home
Hazel Marion Brown, 64, of 500 Cedarberry Lane, Marinwood, was found dead Saturday at her home, hanged from a ceiling beam, reported Deputy Coroner Richard W. Madigan.
She had been living with her sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. and Mrs. William C. Hagens, sheriffs deputies reported.
When the Hagens returned home at about 3:28 p.m. after a two-day trip, they found her hanging by an electric cord from a beam dividing the kitchen and living room, deputies said.
The deputy coroner said she apparently had hanged herself.
A former resident of Iowa, she had been living in Marinwood since November, deputies reported. Madigan said she had been despondent over her health.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Williams Mortuary.
