BARBARA SPOTTSWOOD
Barbara Elizabeth Spottswood, San Anselmo antique dealer and wife of Dr. Maurice D. Spottswood, was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday at Marin General Hospital.
Dr. Spottswood said his wife had not been feeling well and had complained of a severe headache Monday night, the coroner’s office said. The cause of death is pending an autopsy scheduled today at Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, the coroner’s office said.
Mrs. Spottswood, 51, of Sturdivant Avenue, San Anselmo, had operated Plums and Lemons, an antique shop at 10 Bank Street, for about two years.
A native of Pennsylvania, she moved to Marin from the east about 19 years ago. Her husband is a San Francisco psychoanalyst.
She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Barbara Rabinowitz of Berkeley.
Funeral is pending at Chapel of the Hills.
