Maj. Milton Reed, Ross Councilman, Is Called by Death
The funeral of Major Milton N. Reed, who died Monday at his home in Ross, after several month’s illness, was held Wednesday afternoon at St. John’s Church, Ross, under the direction of t he Keaton Mortuary, San Rafael. Interment was at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
Major Reed, aged 53, was a mining engineer, and had lived in Ross for about five years, and was a member of the City Council at Ross at the time of his death. He was also chaplain of Ross Post, American Legion.
The deceased was a native of Massachusetts, and leaves his wife, Mrs. Nancy Ellis Reed; a sister, Marian R. Gage, of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Reed served in the World War, and prior to that was with the U.S. Army on the Mexican border.
