Marita Holmes

Marita Holmes of Winona, Miss., mother of Dr. Thomas W. Holmes Jr. of San Rafael, died yesterday in a Mississippi hospital after a long illness.

She was a native of Vaiden, Miss., and a lifelong resident of the state.

Mrs. Holmes, a homemaker, was a frequent visitor to Marin. She was the wife of the late Dr. Thomas W. Holmes Sr.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Holmes also is survived by another son, John B. Holmes of Clarksdale, Miss., and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Moore Memorial Methodist Church in Winona, Miss.
