Death Calls James J. Smith
Death claimed James J. Smith of this city suddenly at a local hospital Monday, and funeral rites were held for him yesterday at the parlors of Keaton & Dusel, thence to St. Raphael’s Church, where a requiem mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul.
Although he had suffered with ill-health for some time, he had become seriously ill three days ago and went to the hospital. He was a butcher by trade.
His wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Daisy) Smith, and his daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Foley, survive him.
