Brevities
Another veteran of the Civil War has answered the last bugle call. William Melrose, a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, succumbed to an attack of pneumonia at the Cottage Hospital last week and was interred in the Presidio Cemetery. The deceased, a native of England, was 64 years of age. He leaves a brother, K. Melrose, who is employed by Shreve & Company in San Francisco.
