William R. Cloney
Retired roofer
William R. Cloney, a Marin County native, died at his Novato home Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1992, following a lengthy illness. He was 54.
Mr. Cloney was born in Ross and graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in 1957. He entered the Army in 1958 for a two-year stint.
A roofer for 30 years, he was a former member of the Carpenter’s Union, Local 35.
He is survived by his wife, Joan C. Cloney of Novato; two daughters, Charlene J. Brunner of Petaluma and Colleen J. Healon of Novato; two brothers, John C. Cloney of San Rafael and Robert L. Cloney of Novato; his mother, Alberta Cloney of San Rafael; five grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 5 p.m. today at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin, 1801 Novato Blvd., Novato.
The family prefers memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 151685, San Rafael 94915-1685 or a favorite charity.
