GUSTAV OPITZ
Gustave Herman Opitz, 61, San Anselmo carpenter, was found dead at his home yesterday. Marin County coroner’s investigator Keith C. Craig attributed death to apparent natural causes.
Police went to Opitz’s home at 208 Sequoia Drive at 10:20 p.m. after his daughter, Elaine E. Claburn of San Rafael, called to say she feared he might be injured, since she had not seen him in several days.
Police entered the house with Mrs. Claburn and found Opitz’s body on the bedroom floor. Craig said he had died five to seven days ago.
Opitz was a native of California and had lived 30 years in Marin. Funeral arrangements are pending at Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
