EELLS – John Shepard Eells, a native of California, died June 20, 1964. Born in Oakland November 23, 1880, he is survived by his wife, Marion Coffin Eells; one son, John Shepard Eells Jr., of Rock Hill, South Carolina; two daughters, Mrs. Jackoson Hoagland, New York City and Mrs. Willis Blakeslee of Pasadena; one sister, Mrs. Henry Sloane Coffin of Portola Valley; also six grandchildren. Private services were held at St. James Episcopal Church, South Pasadena, the Rev. Gilbert P. Prince, D.D., officiating. Interment, Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael, Calif., Turner & Stevens Co., Pasadena, directors.
