STATE PRISON GUARD DIES AFTER ILLNESS
John T. Marron, who had been employed for a number of years as a guard at San Quentin, passed away Monday at the Cottage Hospital of tuberculosis. He was critically ill but a few days, although he had on several occasions been compelled to take long rests from his work.
The funeral will be held this morning from the Eden Parlors, and mass will be celebrated in St. Raphael's church.
Deceased is survived by Frank M. and Herbert S. Marron, nephews, and Pauline Marron and Mrs. Alfred Bovo, nieces, of San Francisco. He was 57 years and three months of age.
