Harry Elliott Of Novato Dies at 72
Harry LeRoy Elliott, a retired carpenter, died yesterday in a Novato convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 72.
Elliott was active in Novato senior citizens affairs, and was an American Legion member and a retired member of the Carpenters Union Local 35 in San Rafael.
Born in Mead, Kans., he served in the Army during World War I and came to Marin County 24 years ago.
Elliott and his wife, Irene – whom he met through senior citizens club activities and married in January 1968 – made their home at 1401 Park Avenue, Novato.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dora Ruth Hicklan of Wichita, Kans.; a son, Herbert Elliott of Topeka, Kans., and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Redwood Funeral Chapel, Novato, followed by interment in Marin Memorial Gardens, Novato.
