John ‘Jack’ McCallum
Real Estate Broker
John ‘Jack’ McCallum of Mill Valley died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1990, at his home. He was 88.
Mr. McCallum was a native of Glasgow, Scotland. He lived in Mill Valley for 57 years.
He was a real estate broker in Mill Valley for more than 50 years and operated McCallum Realty.
Mr. Mc Callum was the past president of the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Marin County Real Estate Board since its inception in 1920. He was a member of the Mill Valley Masonic Lodge for 40 years.
Mr. McCallum was an avid golfer and played soccer for a team with the Olympic Club in San Francisco.
“He was an honorary Scotsman,” said his wife Shirley McCallum of Mill Valley.
In addition to his wife, Mr. McCallum is survived by two daughters, Rae Haynie of Fulton and Billie Dulebohn of Novato; a son, Gary McCallum of Mill Valley; and six grandchildren.
Friends are invited to a gathering at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the McCallum residence, 68 Sunnyside Ave., Mill Valley.
No service will be held.
Memorial donations are preferred to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Ave., Corte Madera, 94925.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society of San Rafael.
