GRACE LESTER

Funeral for Grace Lester of Novato will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Redwood Chapel in Novato.

Mrs. Lester, 66, died Thursday in a local hospital after a short illness.

She was a native of Des Moines, Iowa, and lived in Oregon for three years before moving to Novato in 1959. Mrs. Lester was supervisor of the nursery at Nave Lanes in Novato until last spring.

She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Lester; five daughters, Marjorie Slifer, Mary Mueller and Bonnie Cartee, all of Petaluma, Pauline Queen of Springfield, Ore., and Patsy Marney of Marcola, Ore.; five sons, Paul Lester of Petaluma, Donald and Kenneth Lester of Des Moines, Iowa, Richard and Glen Lester of Novato; her mother, Emma Parmenter of Marcola; 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Marin memorial Gardens in Novato.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the sister of Gladys Parmenter of Maracola, Norman Parmenter of Springfield, and William Parmenter of Novato.
