SELINGER, Carl M. -- Passed away at his home peacefully on July 22, in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was the son of Leo and Faye Selinger of Oakland, CA. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anne Selinger, of Morgantown; two sons and their wives, Jonathan and Robin Selinger, of Silver Spring, MD, and Eric Selinger and Rosalie Murphy, of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Joseph, David, Nathan and Margaret; and brother Fred Selinger of Tiburon, CA. He graduated from UC Berkeley and Harvard Law School. His distinguished academic career included Professor of Law at Albany Law School and Univ. of New Mexico, Assoc. Dean Univ. Hawaii Law School, Dean of Bard College, and Dean of Univ. of Detroit Law School. From 1982 to the present serving the West Virginia Univ. School of Law, as a Dean and as a professor. Carl was recently honored by the West Virginia Legislature for his public service, elected a member of the West Virginia Law Institute, the American Law Institute and was President of the Human Rights Committee of the Inter-American Bar Association. As a teacher to all who knew him, he challenged the mind and set the highest standards. Family services were held at the Tree of Life Congregation in Morgantown, WV.
