James Grady
James Patrick Grady, 56, former railroad worker and member of the merchant marine, died at his home in San Anselmo yesterday.
Grady, a former employee of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad, lived with his brother, Emmett Grady, veteran caddy for the Marin Meadow Club, at 404 San Francisco Boulevard. He had been partly disabled since suffering a stroke in 1952.
Emmett Grady said he had seen his brother about 10:30 a.m. yesterday when he walked to the bathroom. When he next saw him, James was lying motionless on top of his bed. The victim was dead on arrival at San Rafael General Hospital.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anselm’s Church in San Anselmo. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
