WILLIAM GREY ANSWERS CALL
William H. Grey, for years a familiar figure in the streets of San Rafael, is dead. He passed away last Friday after a brief illness.
The funeral was held Sunday morning at the Sawyer parlors and the sermon was preached by the Rev. Lynn T. White. Burial was made in Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
There were few men in San Rafael who did not know “Bill” Grey, as he was familiarly called, and fewer still who had aught to say in criticism of his treatment of his fellowman. Ever a gentleman innately, he bore himself as such in his daily life, and his absence will be noticed.
The deceased leaves to survive him two brothers, Frank and Jesse, a widow and a daughter. He was fifty-four years of age
