OCAL HUGHES
Mrs. Ocal L. Hughes, 69, of San Anselmo, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
She had lived in San Anselmo 20 years, and her home there was at 33 Barbara Avenue. She was a native of Oxnard.
Mrs. Hughes leaves two daughters, Mrs. Martin Smallback of San Anselmo and Mrs. George Shipsey of San Rafael; a sister, Miss Grace Rosenberg; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Raphael’s Church, San Rafael. The funeral cortege will leave Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael, at 9:15 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. The Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Keaton Chapel.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: Mrs. Hughes was the wife of the late Edward Hughes, and the grandmother of Martin Smallback III and Mrs. Judith Ann Bottini and Michael and Thomas Shipsey. She was the great-grandmother of Nancy Bottini.
