ISABELLE MANCEBO

Isabelle M. Mancebo of San Anselmo, a resident of Marin for more than 50 years, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was 89.

Mrs. Mancebo had lived in Marin – in Sausalito and San Anselmo – since marrying Manuel Mancebo in 1918. the two celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary six years ago.

Mrs. Mancebo was born in Irvington, Alameda County, and lived there until moving to Sausalito.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Loretta Cordova of San Anselmo, Margaret Adams of New Plymouth, Ida., Marian Switzer of San Rafael, and Dina Rice of Fremont; three sons, Lester and Norman Mancebo of San Anselmo, and Milton Mancebo of Mill Valley; two sisters, Louise Averill of Sausalito and Palimina Gordon of Mill Valley, and a brother, Alfred Mattos of Felton, Santa Clara County. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anselm’s Church, San Anselmo.

Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.

Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
