Enard Johnson

Funeral for Enard C. Johnson of Newcastle, a former resident of Corte Madera, will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of the Hills Mortuary in Auburn, Placer County.

Johnson died Saturday at his home after a long illness. He was 74.

He was born and reared in Rush City, Minn., and moved to Corte Madera in 1942. He moved to Newcastle seven years ago with his wife, Louise.

He worked as a plant superintendent at the McNear Co. in San Rafael for 22 years, retiring in 1969.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John W. Johnson of Newcastle and Enard K. Johnson of Palo Alto; two brothers, five sisters and three grandchildren.

He was a member of the Machinists Union, Local 238 of Petaluma.

His family requests any memorial contributions be sent to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1279 High Street, Auburn.
