C. W. MATTHEWS
Cecil W. Matthews, 36, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, was found dead yesterday afternoon in his bed in the Lincoln Hotel at 805 Fourth Street, San Rafael.
Asst. Coroner William C. Bradley said death was due to natural causes, but ordered an autopsy.
Matthews, who was a sergeant in the Air Force, was found by an employee of the hotel who was concerned when he did not answer a knock on his door.
He is survived by his father, Edward Matthews of San Rafael, and a sister, Mrs. Doreen Putnam of Novato.
Private funeral will be held at Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael on Friday. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
