Richard F. Honey
Tuolumne County native
Richard Frederick Honey, 29-year resident of San Rafael, died Sunday, June 17, 1990, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 73.
He was born in Soulsbyville, Tuolumne County. He lived in the area for about 50 years. For 29 years, he worked for the California State Automobile Association, where he was a manager and later a vice president.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Honey served in the Army from 1944 to 1946.
He belonged to the Elks Lodge No. 1587 and was past leader of the lodge.
Mr. Honey is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Honey of San Rafael; a son, Richard A. Honey of Sacramento; a daughter, Dorothy Butz of Jamestown, Tuolumne County; a sister, Louise Bolter of Soulsbyville; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, 225 E. Rose Ave., Sonora. Friends may call for visitation at the mortuary from 2 to 8 p.m. today. He will be buried at Mt. Shadow Cemetery, Sonora.
