Sudden Death Comes to Michael Gannon
Resident of Marin county since 1938, Michael J. Gannon, 41, San Anselmo, died suddenly at a local hospital yesterday.
Funeral services at 9 a.m. tomorrow will be from Keaton’s mortuary, thence to St. Anselm’s church where a mass will be offered for the repose of his soul, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited at the mortuary at 7:45 tonight.
Gannon is survived by his widow, Anita, and children Anita, Claire and Michael, all of San Anselmo. He also leaves four sisters and three brothers.
A native of Ireland, he was a member of the Holy Names Society, St. Anselm’s church, and was scoutmaster of St. Anselm’s school troop.

A Death Notice in the same paper names his siblings: James, Robert and Phillip Gannon, Mrs. Mary Shannon, Mrs. Annie Denahy, Mrs. Emma Coy, and Mrs. Cecelia Oxen, and the late Thomas Gannon; a native of county Wexford, Ireland. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
