Ford E. Frame
Passed away on August 23, 2002, peacefully at home in Mill Valley at age 89. He was a longtime resident of Marin County. Ford was born in 1913 in Goshen, Indiana. Ford was a veteran of the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Ford earned the WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, and European African Middle Eastern Theatre with five bronze stars. Ford served in campaigns in Normandy, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe and Northern France. He was proud of his service career and remained a stout patriot until his death. Ford has a long and distinguished career in automobile sales and finance. He was district sales manager for the DeSoto, Fiat and Volkswagen automobile manufacturers. Ford also remained very active in real estate finance until his death. Ford was proud of his 50 plus year affiliation with The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Indiana, Lodge #325. The Grand Chapter of Arch Masons of Middletown, Ohio, Chapter 87, and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. Those who knew Ford will remember him as kind and generous, strong, yet with a gentle nature. Ford was a one of a kind, "Gentleman and Friend" who will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Ford loved a good joke, attending social functions with his friends, and dressing to a "T". Preceded in death by his wives, Jennie Frame in 1984, Patricia Frame in 1997, and his beautiful stepdaughter Sharon Frey in 2001. He is survived by his son-in-law George Frey and his longtime close friends Kathy Fox and Marshall Benas. Ford considered the staff at Saxe Mortgage his family and will be sorely missed by Shirley Cervantes and Mary Smith. Private Memorial Services by the Neptune Society and Scattering of Ashes at Sea. Donations in Ford's name may be forwarded to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, CA 94925.
