John S. Kerrigan Succumbs to Illness
Funeral services will be held this morning in San Francisco over the remains of John S. Kerrigan, for years a well known resident of San Rafael, who passed away Monday at the home of his brother, Philip I.(?) Kerrigan.
Kerrigan was stricken ill suddenly about three weeks ago at his place(?) of business, the Senate saloon, in this city, and had grown steadily worse following his removal to San Francisco, until his death.
The deceased was prominent in fraternal circles here and had held several executive offices in different orders. He was a member of __?_burg Lodge No. 326, B.P.O.E., San Rafael Aerie No. 256, P.O.E. (?), Marin County Lodge No. 85, Knights of Royal Arch, and Genesse Tribe No. 207, Imp. O.R.
He was born in Liverpool, England, 43 years ago, and was a brother of William R., Philip J. Kerrigan and the late Sadie Syres (?).
The service will be held at 9:30 this morning at the residence of his brother, Philip Kerrigan, and later at St. Paul’s church, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated. Interment will be made at Holy Cross cemetery, San Mateo county.
