Virginia Azevedo Davis, Nurse
Age 49, of Sonoma, passed away August 3, 2002, quietly at her home in Sonoma, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Davis was a graduate of Modesto High School, Sacramento State University and the UCLA School of Nursing in 1981. Having worked in the OR, OB-GYN, family practice and public health, she entered the field of infertility. After working in PFC in Reno, Nev., and San Francisco, and North Bay Fertility in Santa Rosa, she realized her dream and opened her own practice, Davis Fertility Services in 1997. Virginia was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy; and father Henry. She is survived by her loving son Kevin: and husband Jan of Sonoma; mother Isabel; sisters, Margie and Jennifer; brothers, Henry and Manuel; nieces, Lisa and Lori; nephews, Dan, John, Michael, Dylan, Nick, Bret and James. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Modesto. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 11, at St. Leo's Catholic Church with Monsignor John J. O'Hare officiating. Private Inurnment. Donations in Virginia's name can be made to the Kevin Davis Fund, c/o Cal Federal Bank, 19245 Sonoma Highway, Sonoma, California 95476 or the Hospice of Marin, Valley of the Moon Team, 735 Broadway, Sonoma, California 95476. Arrangements by Mission Cremation Service under the direction of Duggan's Mission Chapel.
