RODMAN GIFFORD
Rodman Charles Gifford, 65, retired grocery clerk for the Sun Valley market in San Rafael, died in a local hospital last night after long illness of a heart condition.
Gifford served the market for nine years until ill health forced his retirement last May. He had lived in Marin County 14 years.
He was born in San Francisco and was a member of Grocery Clerks Union, Local 1119.
He is survived by his wife, Emilie A. Gifford of 13 Hill Avenue, Fairfax; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Metteucci and Mrs. Barbara Mallett; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Hill, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will be in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma.
