Emma Louise Gibson
Private funeral has been held for Emma Louise Gibson of Petaluma, who died in a local hospital Friday after a brief illness. She was 92.
Mrs. Gibson was a native of Nashville, Tenn. After her childhood in Tennessee she became a clerk for the Frisco Railroad in St. Louis, Mo. She worked for the firm 25 years and, in 1950, retired and moved to El Paso, Tex.
In 1957 Mrs. Gibson came to Petaluma.
She was a member of the Women’s Traffic Club of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Pilot Club International, the National Association of Railway Businesswomen, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Frisco Veteran Employees Association, all of St. Louis.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by a son, Newson J. Gibson of Tucson, six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Dr. Thomas S. Gibson and Louis Gibson, preceded her in death.
Funeral and burial will be tomorrow in Nashville.
