BERNADETTE MITCHEL
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernadette Mitchel of San Rafael, a Marin resident for two years, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Nazareth House in San Rafael.
Mrs. Mitchel died Tuesday at Ross General Hospital. She was 83.
She was born in San Francisco and raised there. In 1920, she married William J. Mitchel and the couple moved to New Jersey in 1924. They lived there until 1968 when they returned to San Francisco. Mitchel died in 1980. Mrs. Mitchel moved to Marin that same year.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Bernadette Chamberlain of Palo Alto, and a son, William J. Mitchel Jr. of Santa Rosa.
The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today.
